PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL MAIN EVENTS ARE FOR REGISTERED ANIME EXPO ATTENDEES ONLY. YOU CANNOT ATTEND AN EVENT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A VALID BADGE EVEN IF YOU HAVE A TICKET FOR THAT EVENT.
Main Events are the most popular events that have the highest attendance at Anime Expo®. These include the AX Masquerade, the AX Anime Music Video Contest, and various concerts. Main Events are held in the Main Events Hall (Hall G) in the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC).
Yes. In addition to a valid Anime Expo® attendee badge, registered attendees will need an additional Main Event ticket to enter events held in the Main Events Hall. Due to the high attendee interest and limited space, all concerts, the AX Masquerade and the AX Anime Music Video Contest will require individual tickets for admission. Tickets are available for sale online through the TicketLeap website and will be available for sale during the convention at the Main Events Ticketing Booth in the West Hall Alcove.
Friday, June 29th
Only registered Anime Expo® attendees with valid badges for the day of the event are eligible to obtain tickets for the ticketed Main Events. When purchasing tickets, all attendees are required to enter a valid badge ID into the TicketLeap system for each purchased ticket. Please note that Main Event tickets will be tied to an individual attendee badge. You will need to have both the matching attendee badge and the Main Event ticket before being allowed into the event.
No. Attendees with valid badges for the day of the event have the option to wait in a Standby Line to get remaining unsold tickets to a Main Event for free. Waiting in a Standby Line does *not* guarantee a ticket; distribution of tickets to the Standby Line will be limited to the number of tickets available. Purchasing a ticket has many benefits such as guaranteed entry, earlier entry into the venue, preferred seating and not having to wait in the Standby Line while another event is happening.
The Standby Line is an option for attendees to get any unsold/available tickets to Main Events for free. Attendees can wait in the Standby Line beginning four hours before the start of each event; the Standby Line will be formed outside of West Hall* near the Main Events Ticketing Booth. Waiting in the Standby Line does *not* guarantee a ticket as there will be a limited number of tickets distributed. Attendees interested in a particular event are recommended to purchase a ticket to guarantee entry. *PLEASE NOTE: Location of Standby Line subject to change. Location will be posted at the Main Events Ticketing Booth during the convention.
You will be able to select your own seats in the TicketLeap website when you purchase your tickets. If you are purchasing tickets at the convention at the Main Events Ticketing Booth, our ticketing staff will assist you in selecting seats for the event. If you do not wish to select your own seats, there is a "Best Available Seats" option available in the TicketLeap system that will automatically choose the best seats for you. If you have any special needs, please inquire with our Disabled Services Coordinator located at the Anime Expo® Information Desk in the South Hall.
Tickets can be purchased online at the TicketLeap website as events are announced, and will also be available during the convention at the Main Events Ticketing Booth in West Hall Alcove. At-con ticket purchases can be made with cash, debit or major credit cards. Please bring corresponding photo ID if using credit or debit cards. To access the TicketLeap website, please go to the following url: http://anime-expo.ticketleap.com
Each registered attendee can have only one (1) ticket per event associated with their attendee badge. The TicketLeap system allows you to purchase multiple tickets for an event at once, but you are required to fill in an attendee badge ID for each purchased ticket. This badge ID will be checked and verified during entry into the event. Please ensure you have the correct name and badge ID for each ticket before completing the purchase. For example, a single attendee can purchase and associate one (1) ticket each for a concert, for the AX Masquerade, and pick up a ticket for the AX Anime Music Video Contest. He or she *cannot* purchase and associate 3 tickets to the AX Masquerade to his or her own badge ID, and then give them to friends later. The friends will NOT be able to enter the event as the name and badge ID on the ticket is not associated with their own badges. Please first collect the badge ID information from your group if you are making a group purchase. You can find your badge ID on your registration confirmation that was emailed to you.
If you bought your tickets online, you will receive a confirmation e-mail as well as E-tickets in PDF format for each ticket purchased. You will need to print out and bring your E-ticket with you on the day of the event or present it via smartphone or iOS device so we can scan the ticket QR code during check in.
Please bring your valid Anime Expo® attendee badge (after picking it up from Registration) and your TicketLeap E-ticket. This can be a printed copy of the E-ticket with the QR code or an electronic version of the E-ticket on your smartphone or iOS device. We will scan the QR code at the door to the event to "redeem" the ticket. You do NOT have to claim your ticket at the Main Events Ticketing Booth if you pre-purchased your tickets online. If you lose the copy of your E-Ticket, please go back to the TicketLeap website to request another confirmation email with E-ticket(s) be sent to you. Once your e-Ticket is scanned onsite, you will not be able to use additional printed copies. More information about having tickets resent can be found here: http://www.ticketleap.com/resend-tickets
Simply go to the designated venue with your E-ticket (either printed or in electronic format), and your valid Anime Expo® attendee badge before the start of the event. Seating usually begins around 30-60 minutes before the start of the event.
Attendees with special needs should inquire about seats with our Disabled Services Coordinators located at the Anime Expo® Information Desk in South Hall. Please note that there are a limited number of wheelchair-accessible spaces available in the Main Events Hall. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Tickets for these sections will not be available at the Main Events Ticketing Booth.
