Where do I go to pick up my badge and badge holder?

Registration is located at the Los Angeles Convention Center (South Hall Lobby).

What do I need to pick up my badge if I pre-registered online?

You MUST bring a print out of your registration confirmation email containing a barcode as well as a photo ID (copies of IDs will not be accepted).

What types of photo IDs are accepted?

We will only accept the following forms of ID (Drivers License, State ID, School ID, Passports, and Military ID).

What registration line do I get in if I pre-registered or is there only one line?

Once you arrive at the LACC, go to the registration hall (South Hall Lobby). Multiple lines will be marked appropriately.

Are badges being mailed to pre-registered attendees for Anime Expo®?

Pre-registered attendees will be emailed a confirmation containing a barcode which they will be required to bring along with a photo ID to the convention.

My friends are not able to pick up their badges during registration hours. Can I pick up their badges in their place?

Under no circumstances will anyone be allowed to pick up another attendees badge.

“I am under 13 and want to attend the convention by myself. Can I pick up my badge on my own or do I need an adult?”

Attendees under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18 for the duration of their time at the event. A valid identification is required for all attendees to pick up their badge. Any programming designated 18+ will require attendees to show a valid photo ID in order to gain admittance.

“I am over 13 and I want to bring my younger sibling that is under 13 to the convention. Can I pick up his/her badge or do I need an adult?”

All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in order to pick-up a badge. NO EXCEPTIONS.

If I pre-registered for a one day badge or a two day badge, can I come on a day that I’m not registered for to pick up my badge and badge holder?

Yes, you can even come on Day Zero as you are a pre-registered attendee.

What is the age range for the child pass for Anime Expo®?

A 4 day pass for children ages 6-12 is currently $25, while children age 5 and under are free. Children age 13 and older must purchase a regular adult pass.

I pre-registered but can’t make it to Anime Expo® this year, can I get a refund of my membership?

All registration fees are refundable in full within 30 days of registering. After 30 days, any canceled registrations are non-refundable, but will be transferred to next year’s Anime Expo. Please contact Customer Service with any questions: (800) 619-7689 or [email protected]

What forms of payment do you accept?

Only credit cards (Visa, Master Card, & American Express) are accepted for pre-registration through the online registration website. During the convention, you can register on-site (Location: TBA), with credit cards, cash and money orders made out to SPJA.

Can I pay for my registration at the convention or do I have to use the online web form and credit card to pre-register?

You can register on-site at the LACC (South Hall Lobby), but expect longer lines as well as a higher price.

If I want to purchase my membership for Anime Expo® on-site, can I come on Day Zero to do so?

Yes, you can come on Day Zero to purchase a badge for Anime Expo.

I pre-registered online, but did not receive any confirmation e-mail.

If I have not received my confirmation email, can I still attend the convention?

Of Course! Just come to our registration area with your photo ID and we will be able to input your name into the computer to search for your registration.

Is it possible to upgrade or downgrade my membership, so I can attend on other days, after I have already pre-registered?

You may upgrade your membership any time. You may downgrade your membership within 30 days of purchasing. After 30 days, all canceled registrations will be transferred to next year’s Anime Expo. If you would like to upgrade or downgrade your membership, please contact our registration customer service.

I just want to visit the exhibition hall. Where can I purchase an exhibit hall only badge?

Anime Expo® is offering Exhibit Hall only passes, good for one day, for a price of $20 before June 30th or $25 on-site. You can purchase them on our registration website here.

Should I decide during the convention that I want to attend for more days, what can I do?

Please come to our guest services station located in registration (South Hall Lobby) and let our staff know. You will be able to pay the price difference and upgrade your badge there.

I have pre-registered online, but some of the information is wrong or missing (full name, nickname, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc.)

Please log back into the registration system with your email/password that you signed up with and you can edit the information. If you have any issues, please contact our customer service department at (800) 619-7689 or email [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you.

What kind of format should my nickname be in?

Your nickname should be alphanumeric with no special symbols. No inappropriate or obscene words will be allowed and we reserve the right to alter or remove it from your badge. Examples of inappropriate nicknames include obscene words as well as phrases such as “glomp me.”

How do child attendees purchase tickets to main events for Anime Expo®?

Anime Expo® does not permit the purchase of child/youth ticketing by those under the age of thirteen because parental consent (18 or older) is required. For the main event ticket vouchers that are awarded to attendees staying within our Anime Expo® hotel block, the parent must contact our customer service department either via phone or e-mail to have the complimentary voucher awarded to the child.
